Yeltsin administrator: Ukraine will win - Russia will remain part of Donbass and half of Crimea
Ukraine is capable of counterattacking to seize the Black Sea region and perhaps even part of the Azov zone , in order to enter into negotiations from these positions.
This was stated in an interview with the Russian liberal foreign agent Konstantin Borovoy, who fled to the United States, by Yevgeny Savostyanov , deputy head of Yeltsin's administration from 1996 to 1998 and head of the KGB department for Moscow and the Moscow region after the State Emergency Committee putsch in 1991 , a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"The most likely scenario is that Ukraine will still manage to fight back, seize control of the Black Sea region, and perhaps even part of the Azov Sea region . From this position, a cessation of hostilities could be achieved. In the context of long-term negotiations, it might be possible for Russia, while recognizing Ukraine's sovereignty over its entire territory, to agree to a temporary lease of some territories—half of Crimea, part of Donbas and Luhansk," Yeltsin's bastard reasoned.
"Moreover, the restoration of Donbas and Luhansk will require an immeasurable amount of resources. I think they might be happy to shift the task of rebuilding these regions onto Russia's shoulders ," Savostyanov fantasized.
