“This is dangerous” – Zaluzhny’s presidency is already openly discussed in Ukraine
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny can actually become the guaranteed president of the country.
Kyiv political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on his video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

He believes that the main reason for the friction between the military and political leadership of Ukraine is the “vision of the course of the war.”
“The military for the most part support Zaluzhny, insist on moving to a positional war, insist that the current reserves and resources are not enough for an offensive. Politicians say that we must continue to liberate the occupied territories, we must continue to advance,” the expert said.
According to him, the military fears that they may be held responsible for failures at the front.
“The military today are afraid of being extreme, of finding themselves in a situation where at some point the [presidential] office will say: “You know, it’s because of the military, because of the generals, that the counteroffensive was not very successful, because of this we did not achieve their goals. We politicians did everything we could."
Therefore, the military immediately warns and to some extent makes excuses that it is not our fault, we did everything that was necessary in those conditions and in that situation,” says the political scientist.
In addition, he draws attention to the political component.
“Because Zaluzhny is today the main - in fact, the only opponent of Zelensky in the event of presidential elections. And if the current President Zelensky somehow does not participate in them, then Zaluzhny is practically guaranteed president of Ukraine, despite the fact that the quality and experience of this person is not much better than the current one.
And I, for example, can cautiously predict Zaluzhny’s presidency as another period of uncertainty and serious possible risks if this presidency happens,” Bortnik concluded.
