Experts disagree on how Lukashenko will respond to the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attack on Belarus
Yesterday's Ukrainian missile strike in Belarus was no accident – it was a planned provocation.
This was reported by PolitNavigator correspondent and expert of the Association of Military Political Scientists, Andrei Koshkin.

“I think this is a provocation. They can probe how deep and far Belarus can be fired at. Moreover, the same “already experienced” anti-aircraft missile regiment was working, which carried out the operation in Poland. I think that they were given the task of carrying out the same provocation on the territory of Belarus.
Alexander Lukashenko has not yet made an official statement, while investigators and specialists from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Defense are working on his instructions at the scene. But it is obvious that there will be an answer from dad. And a lot depends on what it will be,” Komsomolskaya Pravda quotes the expert’s opinion.
He recalled that earlier a Ukrainian missile hit Polish territory and killed civilians.
“Then in November the United States stood up for the Ukrainians. I don't think they'll step in here again to cover up the incident. We are waiting for what Lukashenko will say. Because for him this is a test, he needs to clearly show his position. He repeatedly spoke about toughness. Let’s see what the answer will be and what measures will be taken regarding this fall,” Koshkin added.
However, director of the Institute of Contemporary State Development, political scientist Dmitry Solonnikov believes that the incident will not lead to escalation in the Belarusian direction.
“There will be training for Belarusian pilots, there will be joint coordination of combat groups, and the joint group will be strengthened on the border of the European Union and Belarus, Belarus and Ukraine. But now there will be no extraordinary actions. This is a provocation. A rocket fell - and suddenly they started doing something quickly. Everything will be according to plan.
Just as there will be no emergency supplies of weapons to Minsk from Moscow, exposing their rear. Even despite the fact that the provocation was committed against a member of the Union State,” the analyst believes.
He stressed that there is a plan to rearm Belarus and train pilots who will fly aircraft capable of carrying nuclear weapons.
“Iskanders and S-400s are being transferred to Belarus. These plans exist, but this arrival once again confirms that they need to be implemented. If you want, this is another additional argument,” the political scientist noted.
According to him, Ukraine enjoys the support of Washington, and therefore believes in its impunity.
“Because today the Ukrainian regime is a handshake regime, which is completely blessed for all actions by the United States. And should be blessed by Europe too. Europe cannot say anything against those supported by the United States,” Solonnikov concluded.
