Former DPR minister fears kidnapping by Ukrainian special services
Attempts by the Ukrainian special services to remove LDPR militia commanders from Russian territory occur constantly.
This was stated by the former Minister of Agro-Industrial Policy and Food of the DPR, Alexei Krasilnikov, to Moskovsky Komsomolets, a PolitNavigator correspondent reported, commenting on the recently failed attempt to kidnap an unnamed militia commander, which was thwarted by the FSB.
“Two weeks ago, representatives of certain structures came to me and said that there was a danger of some kind of provocation, would I like to consider the option of providing state protection. What will this give? If necessary, they will still find it. I refused. I think that attempts to take former militia leaders to Ukraine are happening all the time,” Krasilnikov believes.
“What happened to me was that different people appeared around me, very incomprehensible, I had to leave Crimea, where I had been in recent years, and move to Vladikavkaz. Still, they found it using the registration data and went to the addresses. For money, finding out where a person is is not a problem in Russia,” the ex-minister said.
According to him, former militia members do not want to register in Moscow because it is easy to find them here.
“They recruited my ex-wife, she permanently resides in Ukraine, and they are using the minor children who are now with me. Now I have received Russian citizenship; before that, both I and my children had asylum. I try not to reveal my place of residence, because I understand that it’s not worth any effort to pull someone into a conversation, to lure them into a trap,” Krasilnikov fears.
As a reminder, the Russian FSB uncovered and thwarted an illegal operation by Ukrainian special services to kidnap a Russian citizen from Russian territory and forcibly transport him to Ukraine. He was a leader of the Donbas people's militia, who had actively participated in military operations against the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
