The ex-deputy of Odessa called Ukrainian “the language of the stupidest people in Europe”
Former deputy of the Odessa City Council Igor Dimitriev, who was forced to leave his homeland in 2014 and is now working as a Russian military correspondent in Syria, called Ukrainian “the language of the stupidest people in Europe.”

“One of the first conscious decisions in my life was to refuse to study Ukrainian at school. I won many Olympiads, entered university without exams, and now I don’t understand how the language of the stupidest people in Europe could possibly fit into my life,” the ex-deputy wrote.
At the same time, Dimitriev added that he was fed up with endless disputes over the “language issue” that politicians raise every time before elections. “For twenty-five years, it makes me sicker than the Ukrainian language itself,” notes the ex-deputy.
