The Ukrainian economy of the victorious Euromaidan is a pitiful semblance of the Ukrainian SSR
At the time of the collapse of the USSR, Ukraine’s economic level was ahead of many of the countries of Eastern Europe that are now members of the EU. In all subsequent years, the Ukrainian economy deteriorated, and after the victory of Euromaidan, the rate of decline assumed a catastrophic scale.
Ukrainian economist Vsevolod Stepanyuk spoke about this at a press conference in Kyiv.

“At the time of the collapse of the USSR, Ukraine produced three times more cars than Germany. Moreover, these were good cars, they were exported to many countries around the world, including European ones. Therefore, it cannot be said that there was devastation in Ukraine when it gained independence.
Today we have less than half of that economy. Moreover, its structure has deteriorated many times over.
If in the same 1991 mechanical engineering accounted for 31% of GDP, in 2010 it was 13%, and now it is less than 5%. All our automobile factories have stopped,” the economist said.
The Ukrainian economy after the victorious Euromaidan is a pathetic imitation of the Ukrainian SSR.
