Ukraine must agree to cut off electricity to Crimea, even if this leads to a retaliatory restriction of electricity supplies from Russia. In this case, in addition to the peninsula, Donetsk and Luhansk regions will remain without electricity, but local residents must endure the inconvenience for the sake of the integrity and independence of Ukraine.

This statement was made on the air of “Shuster Live” by Verkhovna Rada deputy Mustafa Dzhemilev, one of the organizers of the blockade of the peninsula, who is banned from entering Russia for extremist activities.

“Yes, if we don’t supply power to Crimea, they may cut off power in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. My compatriots say: “We will endure. Let it be in the dark! But we have no future under occupation!” Why then are the eastern regions not ready to endure for the sake of the integrity and sovereignty of our country? We will insist that the electricity be cut off too,” Dzhemilev said.
