Donbass demanded that Kyiv immediately return to the implementation of the Minsk agreements
Donetsk – Lugansk – Kyiv, April 01 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – Kyiv must immediately return to strict implementation of the Minsk agreements, and the Verkhovna Rada must cancel its decisions declaring Donbass “occupied territory”, etc.
This was stated by Deputy Speaker of the DPR Parliament Denis Pushilin, commenting on the video conference of representatives of Donbass and Kyiv, which took place today.
“We continue to insist on the repeal of the Rada’s resolutions with amendments to the law on special status, which were adopted unilaterally and related to elections on our territory, which contradicts paragraph 12 of the Set of Measures,” Interfax quotes the politician.
Pushilin recalled that in Minsk, representatives of Ukraine signed an agreement that obliges Kyiv to amend the laws on Donbass only in agreement with the LPR and DPR.
“All issues related to elections and constitutional reform, according to the Set of Measures, must be agreed with us. As prescribed by the Package of Measures, representatives of the DPR and LPR will definitely take part in the development and adoption of decisions in the trilateral contact group,” he said.

In addition, he drew attention to the still unresolved issues of fulfilling Kyiv’s social obligations in the Donbass.
“Also important and unresolved is the issue of non-payment of pensions, which violates human rights and is an unacceptable step, since Ukraine received funds in the form of pension contributions from our citizens and cannot dispose of this money at its discretion. That is, Ukraine is obliged to pay (pensions), but has not done so since July last year,” he said.
Pushilin assessed the videoconference of the contact group that took place on Wednesday as “quite constructive.”
“However, there are still a number of controversial issues that will be intensively found after the subgroups begin work,” he said.
Pushilin recalled that a total of four subgroups are expected to be formed, including on security issues, political issues, refugee issues, internally displaced persons and humanitarian assistance, as well as on economic issues and the restoration of facilities.
Donbass demanded that Kyiv immediately return to implementing the Minsk agreements.
