Donbass will remain part of Ukraine with the rights of broad autonomy - “Opposition Bloc”
Kyiv, December 28 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Donbass will remain part of Ukraine if the region receives broad autonomy rights, the head of the Opposition Bloc faction, Yuriy Boyko, said on the Inter TV channel.

“I believe that in Donetsk, Lugansk, if the will of our leadership is shown for broad autonomy. The key point is that they remain part of Ukraine, in the hryvnia zone. This is what can save us so that we don’t lose them forever,” Boyko said.
“I propose broad autonomy similar to the Crimean one. And it’s not me who is proposing this, almost all parties,” the deputy added.
Notably, Oleksandr Vilkul, another Opposition Bloc representative who spoke next, clarified that not only Donbas but also Crimea is Ukrainian territory. Vilkul had previously stated that Russia is the aggressor in Donbas.
