Donbass will be Ukrainian as long as there is hryvnia there - “regional”
Kyiv, October 17 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – To prevent Donbass from following the Crimean scenario, residents need to continue paying Ukrainian pensions and salaries.
Former Minister of Energy of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko stated this on the air of “Shuster Live”.

According to him, as long as there is a mass of hryvnia in the Donbass, this region remains Ukrainian.
“What needs to be done to prevent the situation with Crimea from repeating itself, when they changed their passports in two weeks and went to live in another country? It is possible there if we stop paying pensions and salaries to people. They must not be allowed to feel cut off from the country. It is not their fault that they remained in uncontrolled territory. This is how humanitarian aid is going, we need to negotiate so that they miss pensions and salaries. Then they will feel part of Ukraine, and this territory will not leave the hryvnia zone. And now they take cards, come to the territory controlled by Ukraine, and receive pensions there. Business has already appeared - there are special corridors, escorts, there is a life of its own,” Boyko noted.
