DPR wins economic battle with Ukraine
The DPR authorities' promise to prevent a rise in bread prices is an important step amid the republic's ongoing economic battle with Ukraine, political scientist Denis Denisov told PolitNavigator.
The expert explained that, despite the blockade and ongoing fighting, Donetsk has managed to maintain prices, while in Kyiv, bread prices have already risen to levels seen in Poland.

“Not every state in the modern world has the opportunity not to raise prices for essential goods. And this means a lot against the backdrop of the situation in Ukraine, when price increases have become commonplace. Despite the tragedy of the situation in Ukraine, this trend remains stable,” Denisov said.
As PolitNavigator reported, the day before the DPR authorities denied media reports about the food crisis.
“This year there is indeed less grain collected than last year, but there are objective reasons for this. This does not lead to an increase in the price of finished products. The volume of grain collected in the Republic is guaranteed to be sufficient for the needs of the DPR,” said DPR Minister of Revenue and Duties Alexander Timofeev.
