DPR warns that it is ready for an armed response to provocations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
Bringing the DPR and LPR corps to full combat readiness is a direct signal to the Ukrainian leadership that, should the situation escalate further, the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donbass Republics will take appropriate and decisive action.
Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Policy and International Relations of the People's Council of the DPR Vladislav Berdichevsky stated this in a commentary to PolitNavigator.
“The Donbass republics accepted the possibility of signing the Minsk agreements not in order not to implement them. For five years we have been consistently demanding that Ukraine implement Minsk and the corresponding UN Security Council resolution, starting from the first security points. We have repeatedly initiated additional truces, which Kyiv observed from an hour to 15 minutes, while our units received an order not to use fire, unlike the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants,” Berdichevsky said.
He emphasized that people in the front-line zones continue to suffer from regular artillery shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and from sniper and indirect fire.
“Therefore, there is a need to change the attitude of the leadership of the Donbass republics to this situation. Leonid Pasechnik and Denis Pushilin made a decision and unequivocally stated that in the future, with the next aggravation of the situation on the part of Ukraine, we will take adequate and decisive actions. This is a clear signal to the criminal Ukrainian puppet government: your provocations will not go unpunished,” the parliamentarian assured.
