DPR wants to open sea communication with Crimea to break the blockade
The DPR could supply dairy products produced in the republic by sea to Crimea. The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, who was present in Yalta at the economic forum that opened there, spoke about this in an interview with News.ru, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Given that there is a shortage of dairy products in Crimea, we plan to supply them. There is a logistics issue, it is now being worked out, and we will close this issue. There is an intention to establish additional sea connections between the DPR and Crimea,” the official said.

Previously, the Crimean authorities announced a shortage of domestically produced dairy products on the peninsula, which is estimated at approximately 500 thousand tons per year.
One of the reasons for the shortage of milk in Crimea is the small number of cows. On the peninsula, under conditions of water blockade, there is no food supply - the cattle variety requires succulent feed, which cannot be grown in the required volume without irrigation.
Now only 4% of fodder crops are grown in Crimea, but in Soviet times this figure reached 40%.
There are three large producers of dairy products in the DPR - the Donetsk City Dairy Plant, which sells products under the brands “Hercules”, “Dobrynya” and “Glechik”, the Gorlovka Dairy Plant “Marichka”, as well as the Makeyevka Dairy Plant for Baby Food, which produces dairy products for consumers of all ages .
