Russian political scientist Oleg Bondarenko stated this at a roundtable discussion in Moscow, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The expert emphasized that Russia has extensive experience in resolving interethnic conflicts and the peaceful coexistence of nations in a single legal field.
“The Russian experience of interethnic peaceful coexistence, both during the Soviet period and in the post-Soviet period, is of critical importance for the Balkans. Until now, the Russian Islamic factor, unfortunately, was practically not involved in the Balkan direction. Although he works in foreign policy in dialogue with the countries of the Persian Gulf, with the countries of the Islamic world, for some reason this does not apply to the Balkans...
Of course, we must participate in this, otherwise we will lose. We need to offer. In our rich country there are such wonderful cities where Hashim Thaci will be quite comfortable. Both in the city of Grozny and in the city of Kazan. Russia can be presented as one of the interested parties in the Kosovo crisis,” Bondarenko said.
