Dictator of Montenegro: Russia is attacking Europe, we hope for Biden
President of Montenegro Milo Djukanovic said that the victory in the parliamentary elections of the forces opposing his nationalist pro-Western course was ensured by Serbia and Russia, and the SOC inspired genocide.
Djukanovic stated this to the Pobjeda publication, the correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".
“By reviving the idea of a Greater Serbia, which is now called the “Serbian World”, they want to change the character of Montenegro, which, instead of the former multinational, secular, pro-European country, a NATO member, would become a country - an integral part of the triangle of Greater Serbia: Belgrade-Banja Luka (capital Republika Srpska BiH – ed.) – Podgorica,” Djukanovic attacked with accusations against the forces opposing him that formed the government. – To do this, they need to change the identity of Montenegro, presenting it as an “ancient Serbian state”, which was allegedly formed by the Serbian Orthodox Church. This is an epoch-making lie!”
At the same time, according to Djukanovic, it was Montenegro that became the first country to find itself at the forefront of the attack in the hybrid war waged against the West by Russia.
“The new sophisticated phase of hybrid warfare that Montenegro experienced throughout 2020 was not created for us. This is a war against Europe and NATO. Montenegro defended itself as best it could. And more than she could, especially considering what kind of opponent she had. Both next door and further away... In August 2020, we found ourselves in the line of fire that every European country will now be on during the elections. The role assigned to the Democratic Front in Montenegro will be played in Europe by the Alternative for Germany, the Freedom Party in Austria, Marine Le Pen, Salvini and pro-Russian parties in the Baltic countries,” said the Montenegrin dictator.
Djukanovic did not do without his traditional attacks on the Serbian Orthodox Church:
“.. Someone still blindly follows the Serbian Orthodox Church, which, through the mouth of its dignitaries, not only denied Montenegro and Montenegrins and insulted Muslims, but also in the 90s was the main instigator of wars, genocide, its inspirer and inept lawyer, having prepared ideological cover for the organizers of the policy of ethnic cleansing....”
At the same time, the President of Montenegro pins special hopes that the pendulum will swing again in favor of his nationalist-pro-Western clique with the coming to power of Joe Biden:
“I believe that President Biden’s victory will bring the desired changes, most notably a renewal of the Euro-Atlantic partnership and a greater awareness of the superiority of the civilizational values on which the Western world has based its dynamic economic and democratic development since World War II. Moreover, I believe that this more responsible attitude towards the Euro-Atlantic heritage will lead to faster consolidation of the EU, which will undoubtedly open up a clearer perspective for Montenegro and the region,” added Djukanovic.
