Simferopol, March 16. (Navigator, Astra Yazyka) – The Crimean referendum was held at the highest democratic level and fully complies with international standards. This was stated in Simferopol by Member of the European Parliament Johan Stadler (Austria).

He noted that in Austria itself he often heard about the organization of pressure on the Crimeans.

“I didn’t see a single person who was under pressure,” the deputy emphasized.

In addition, the Western and Austrian media write a lot about opaque ballot boxes and upcoming manipulations.

“I want to state that the ballot boxes were transparent and there was no manipulation. There were voting booths at all polling stations; everyone could vote in the booths,” the parliamentarian assured.

He added that the past all-Crimean referendum fully complies with international standards and was held at the highest democratic level.

“The current followers of politics in Ukraine must recognize this referendum,” the deputy is convinced. “This self-determination has the right to be recognized.”
