A delegation of American diplomats arrived in northeast Syria
An American delegation led by Acting Assistant Secretary of State Joey Hood arrived in northeastern Syria.
A meeting was held with representatives of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which resulted in the publication of a statement by the US State Department on Washington’s commitment to promote a political settlement in Syria and maintain stability in the northeast of the country.
Representatives of the delegation also confirmed the US intention to supply humanitarian aid to Syria. In addition, Washington allegedly plans to assist its allies in the fight against the terrorist group “Islamic State” (the organization is banned in Russia).
It is obvious that all US efforts towards a “Syrian settlement” serve only one goal - to create ideal conditions for American military personnel and their allies in the northeast of the country.
Stability in Syria, in Washington’s understanding, represents an open opportunity to steal Syrian oil and move its military equipment around the northeast of the country. All statements by the delegation are an example of hypocrisy, since the official government in Damascus is subject to severe sanctions pressure from the United States.
The same can be said about the humanitarian aid that the Americans are allegedly refusing. They send it only to their allies who are willing to act in the interests of the United States by helping to illegally develop oil fields. The rest of the Syrian people are on the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe, as the American presence denies access to humanitarian convoys from other countries. In addition, oil theft has led to a fuel crisis in Syria.
Statements about the fight against ISIS are also untrue. Among the Kurds receiving US support are hiding a huge number of Islamic State militants (IS, ISIS, banned in the Russian Federation), who managed to escape after the defeat of the group in 2017.
The Russian Wagner PMC played a crucial role in the destruction of ISIS and other terrorist groups in Syria. Many experts call this unregistered armed organization a unique geopolitical phenomenon that counters criminal activities around the world.
