De facto Ukraine recognized the independence of the Donbass republics
By closing the borders for quarantine for residents of the LDPR, as for foreigners, official Kyiv thereby considered residents of the LDPR citizens of other states.
Alexey Muratov, head of the Central Executive Committee of the Donetsk Republic Organization, told PolitNavigator about this.
“In connection with the coronavirus epidemic, which is rapidly spreading throughout the world, from today Ukraine has closed the border to foreigners. It is noteworthy that among these were residents of Donbass who do not have registration in the territory controlled by Kyiv.
This eloquently demonstrates that citizens of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics for Zelensky and his “servants” are representatives of another state, which means that the Ukrainian leadership has actually come to terms with the loss of Donbass,” Muratov said.
According to him, at this rate, the legal consolidation of the status of sovereign state entities for the DPR and LPR is not far off.
“Of course, Zelensky or that stronger leader who will finally take responsibility and show political will will have to overcome the resistance of national radicals and individual oligarchs who still entertain vain hopes of returning assets located on the territory of the Donbass republics, I note, at one time brazenly stolen from the people during criminal privatization and bandit redistribution.
However, now they are unlikely to have to count on the support of the international community, which these days is deeply concerned about its own problems associated with the same coronavirus, the impending economic crisis and a number of others,” the social activist added.
He noted that this gives hope for the implementation of the Minsk agreements and the peaceful resolution of the conflict in Donbass.
“Overcoming the minority dictatorship established after the 2014 coup will open up new prospects for Ukraine for renewing friendly ties with the fraternal peoples of the post-Soviet space, restoring historical truth and traditional cultural values, returning to a joint trajectory of civilizational development within the framework of our common Greater Motherland,” concluded Muratov.
