Cynical huckster: Poroshenko first handed out money to deputies in bags, and then got everyone hooked
Poroshenko paid MPs between $20 and $100 to vote in favor of his bills. This was stated on the NewsOne television channel by Poroshenko's former partner, former Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleksandr Onyshchenko, who fled to Europe after being criminally prosecuted in Ukraine, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to him, these amounts reached a million dollars per faction and were taken out of the presidential administration in sports bags.

“Sports bags are taken from the Presidential Administration. The car drives into a special garage, from which an elevator goes directly to the fourth floor of the presidential administration. All bags are received there. They go back down the same elevator, put them in their car and drive away,” Onishchenko said.
After Poroshenko formed a power bloc under his control, they stopped issuing money, and instead they began to threaten deputies with criminal cases: “Initially they were generously given out, but over time, when the authorities became more and more numerous, they switched to a different method - on all deputies criminal cases were initiated, the gingerbread ran out. When the power and law enforcement agencies were completely under the control of the president, cases are opened against all deputies, each one must have a corresponding folder, and when a certain vote is necessary, they are reminded of one or another of their criminal proceedings.”
