What is behind the bond between “Azov” and trade unions?

Right-wing radicals from the State Corporation “Azov” (an actual subsidiary of the neo-Nazi regiment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine of the same name) rallied together with trade unions in Kyiv because they do not have their own human resources.

This opinion was expressed at a press conference in Kyiv by the director of the information and analytical Center “Perspective” Pavel Rudyakov, who compared the leaders of Ukrainian trade unions with a bride who has stayed too long for marriageable age, ready to marry anyone even “not for money, but for food.”

“Azov has a different problem,” the expert noted. “They have a work plan, but they don’t have a large scale and their own human resources. Therefore, in this case it is a combination of very different protesting resources. “Azov” demonstrates its desire to remove this corrupt and any other government from their point of view.”

The political scientist predicts that such events will continue in the future, and that some other protest groups will join them.

“It’s no secret that in a number of countries – and Ukraine is no exception – there are special law enforcement agencies that train their own controlled protesters,” Rudyakov noted. “Then they organize protests in neighboring squares and defeat them.”
