What happens if the US plan for Ukraine fails?

Poroshenko is a symbol of the conditional unity of the country, but nothing more than a symbol. In fact, Ukraine is already divided. In fact, the Ukrainian state no longer exists; there is a collection of armed, well-organized gangs. Removing Poroshenko may simply trigger a mechanism that will connect “de facto” with “de jure.”
