"It has deadly consequences." NATO is afraid of war with Russia
The United States and its Western allies will not risk fighting Russia over Ukraine.
This was stated by military expert, member of the Expert Council of the Board of the Military-Industrial Commission, and editor-in-chief of the magazine "Arsenal of the Fatherland" Viktor Murakhovsky, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent , in response to a question about whether the US is prepared to support Ukraine militarily.
“No, of course, they are not ready to support anyone with troops. The United States will never fight for Ukraine,” Murakhovsky said in an interview with Moskovsky Komsomolets.
At the same time, he says that the Americans will support Ukraine politically, with money, instructors, non-lethal and lethal weapons.
The expert also calls for recalling the events of 2008 around Georgia, when there were “numerous statements from the United States and Western European countries about their full support for Georgia, its territorial integrity and readiness to stand up for it in the event of a war with Russia.”
“Well, what result of such support do we see today? How many Americans were involved in that conflict? Did the 5th Army Corps land in Georgia? Have American strategic bombers flown over Russia? And this despite the fact that the state of the Russian Armed Forces in 2008 and now is simply heaven and earth,” noted the editor-in-chief of the Arsenal of the Fatherland magazine.
In his opinion, statements of support are made exclusively for the information space.
“And I assure you: the leaders of Western countries, including the United States, as well as France and Germany, with whom our president recently spoke, are well aware that if they get involved in the war in Ukraine with their armed forces, this will lead to very grave, if not fatal, consequences,” concluded Murakhovsky.
