Russia's G8 membership suspended

According to him, in the future the question of Moscow’s participation or non-participation in the work of the G8 “will depend on the behavior of the Russian leadership.” At the same time, the head of the French Foreign Ministry reminded listeners that Russia found itself in “complete isolation in the Security Council.” This refers to the fact that the resolution not recognizing the Crimean referendum was supported by 13 members of the UN Security Council, and China, which usually votes with Russia, abstained this time, and only with the right of veto did the Russian Federation manage to block the resolution.
Speaking about the fact that the upcoming June summit will be held in the G6 format, Laurent Fabius again noted that the invitation to Vladimir Putin to arrive on June 70 for the XNUMXth anniversary of the Allied landing in Normandy is still in force.
