The Czech minister praised Ukrainians who had forgotten about their homeland
Czech Foreign Minister Tomáš Petříček is glad that Ukrainian guest workers are helping to build his country’s economy.
He stated this at a briefing following a meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the Czech minister, this year the Czech authorities will increase quotas for labor migrants from Ukraine.
“About 100 thousand Ukrainians live in the Czech Republic. It is necessary to remember another three thousand students who study in Czech educational institutions. Ukrainians are helping us build the economy and our government will introduce several special programs that will simplify the issuance of work permits for Ukrainians. Today, the possibility of such programs and quotas will increase,” Petříček said.
Previously, former Kyiv journalist Andrey Vajra stated that the scale of labor migration from Ukraine is comparable to the flight of the population from a disaster zone.
