“As part of the creation of priority development territories (ASEZs) in the Far East, 37 thousand new jobs are planned. Experts say that local residents will not be able to fully select this quota. At the same time, there are now about 60 thousand refugees in temporary accommodation centers, ready to work for the benefit of the country that sheltered them in difficult times, says Tsarev. — The Union of Refugees of Ukraine is ready to assist the relevant government authorities of Russia to create the necessary database of refugees indicating their specialty and professional experience to attract them to work in these territories. I think that among the refugees there are enough highly qualified engineers, technologists and representatives of blue-collar professions.”
In total, 2020 priority development areas with nine specializations will be implemented in the Far East by 14, the newspaper recalls.
Thus, the “Ekaterinoslavka” (Amur Region), “Smidovicheskaya” (Jewish Autonomous Okrug), “Mikhailovsky” (Primorsky Territory) ASEZ will be given over to the agricultural industry. Logistics companies will be located in the Nadezhdinskaya (Primorsky Territory) and Rakitnaya (Khabarovsk Territory) ASEZs, port and industrial companies - in the Vanino-Sovetstko-Gavanskaya ASEZ (Khabarovsk Territory), Kamchatka (Kamchatka Territory), Zarubino " (Primorsky Krai). Aircraft manufacturing will be carried out at Komsomolsk (Khabarovsk Territory), petrochemicals at Neftekhimicheskaya (Primorsky Territory), gas chemistry at the Belogorsk TOR (Republic of Sakha). Construction materials will be produced at the Basalt - New Technologies ASEZ (Republic of Sakha), diamond and jewelry activities will be carried out at the Almazny ASEZ (Republic of Sakha), and education will be carried out at the Russky Island ASEZ (Primorsky Territory). Which of these zones will be the first is still not clear. Among the Russian investors were Rosneft, Sibur, Mechel, Rusagro, foreign investors - Hitachi, Mitsubishi, Mitsui, Kawasaki, South Korean Samsung, LG and Daewoo.
“First of all, highly qualified specialists will be needed in priority areas. Much will depend on the investment projects that will be implemented,” says Andrei Shokhin, president of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. “But, of course, there will be an opportunity to accommodate refugees.”
Currently, more than five thousand refugees from Ukraine live in the Far East.
