The SBU declared the ex-husband of the Olympic champion a Kremlin agent
The Security Service of Ukraine detained the ex-husband of the famous athlete Liliya Podkopaeva, Timofey Nagorny, on suspicion of cooperation with the FSB of the Russian Federation.
The corresponding video was published on the official YouTube channel of the SBU, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In a video allegedly filmed on September 25, 2018, Timofey Nagorny first promises the “applicant” for a million euros to assist in closing the criminal proceedings against him in the Russian Federation with the help of the son of the ex-Prosecutor General of Ukraine Artem Pshonka, who allegedly communicates with the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Yuri Chaika, “how with Dad".
Afterwards, Nagorny, with amazing frankness, tells the “applicant” in detail that after being detained in 2014 at the “Peace March” in Moscow, he was recruited by the Russian special services, after which he received instructions from the FSB and the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation to create a new political party in Ukraine, which should have gone to the Verkhovna Rada.
“They told me: can you lead a political force, create a structure that you will lead... I was in the administration, in the State Duma, and in the Lubyanka,” Nagorny says on the recording.
According to him, the tasks of the new party included a meeting with Presidents Putin and Trump, obtaining non-bloc status for Ukraine, as well as declaring Russian the second state language, as “Yanukovych promised them.”
The video ends with the “applicant” handing over the promised million euros to the “Kremlin agent” Timofey Nagorny.
Timofey Nagorny was detained on October 2 in Kiev after “establishing the circumstances of the crime”, on October 3 he was informed of suspicion of committing crimes under the articles “High Treason” and “Fraud” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and on October 4 the Pechersky District Court of Kiev elected Nagorny to suppression in the form of detention with the possibility of posting bail of 528,6 thousand hryvnia.
