Oxford University Press has published a collection of works by historians researching the service of collaborators in occupied European countries in the Waffen-SS . One of the authors is Crimean historian Oleg Romanko, who is listed in the publication as a professor at a Russian university operating on the peninsula.

“Yesterday I finally received my author’s copy of the collective monograph “The Waffen-SS: A European History.” The monograph was published by Oxford University Press (UK). There is also my section in it - about Belarusian formations during the Second World War.

Surprisingly, with all the UK’s commitment to the highest level of anti-Russian and anti-Crimean sanctions, the parcel with the book arrived directly at the “Republic of Crimea, Russian Federation” in just a week.

Moreover, on the page where information about the authors is posted, I appear as “professor of the Crimean Federal University.” And, by the way, none of the editors protested against this wording,” Romanko said in his blog.
