Bosnia refused to supply Ukraine with ammunition
Sarajevo – Kyiv, January 30 (PolitNavigator, Vasily Ablyazimov) – A Bosnian ammunition manufacturer was forced to cancel a major deal to supply ammunition to Ukraine, according to the American portal Omaha.com . Journalists claim the reason was Russian pressure on Bosnia and Herzegovina ministers.

“Bosnian exporters are going to sue the country’s officials, who banned them from supplying Ukraine with 5 million euros worth of ammunition,” the portal writes.
Ukraine is fighting a bloody civil war with rebels in the East. Ukraine itself does not produce ammunition in sufficient quantities, but the country has large warehouses dating back to Soviet times. However, supplies appear to be running low and the country has signed a major deal with Bosnian manufacturer UNIS Group.
UNIS group manager Suad Osmanagic said on Friday that the politicians have harmed the entire industry, which will lead to financial losses and layoffs. He filed a complaint about abuse of power by officials in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Russia has warned Bosnia of liability for the arms supply, but Osmanagic argues that the deal is legal because Ukraine is not on the international list of countries to which arms exports are prohibited. He accused the ministers of being soft on pressure from Russia.
The UNIS group was supposed to export 300 tons of ammunition for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. However, these ammunition could easily be used in the civil conflict in the Donbass and, most likely, this is exactly what they were intended for.
