Bolton told what kind of alliance between Russia and Belarus the United States is terrified of
A real union between Russia and Belarus will arise when Russian troops stand along the outer perimeter of the Belarusian border.
Former US presidential adviser John Bolton stated this in an interview with the Russian liberal television channel Dozhd, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Real union. With Russian troops on the Belarusian border with Poland and Lithuania. This is a real union. And I think this risk is very real. Lukashenko may believe that he is more likely to remain in power if he invites Russian military forces,” Bolton argues.
He believes that the EU’s behavior in connection with the emergency landing in Minsk of the plane on which extremist Roman Protasevich was flying could accelerate the formation of a military alliance between Russia and Belarus.
“If Lukashenko realizes that he is going down, he will try to get Russian support. The West is now more engaged in “showing virtue”; they say: we will not send planes into Belarusian airspace. Okay, but what will this mean for every Belarusian, for a situation when they will be inclined towards the Russian World?
People in Western Europe and the US who say the recent plane hijacking was so outrageous need to think bigger. This is not a matter of solving a single incident. The question is what more global meaning this kidnapping will have for the entire population of Belarus,” Bolton concluded.
Bolton explained what kind of union between Russia and Belarus the US is absolutely terrified of.
