In Kremenchug, Poltava region, patrol police spent an hour chasing a violator driving a Hummer SUV.

According to Kremenchutska Gazeta, a Hummer ran a red light in the city center on Saturday evening. Five patrol cars began pursuing the SUV.
During the chase, one of the Toyota Prius cars missed a turn, flew onto the sidewalk and hit a girl. Her injuries, fortunately, were not serious, and she refused hospitalization.
In addition, the Hummer damaged another patrol car during the chase.
The chase moved outside the city. Soon, a passenger in the SUV jumped out while moving and was detained. The Hummer rammed an Audi car and then turned into a field, where patrol cars could not pursue it. However, the driver soon abandoned his SUV and surrendered to the police.
Police press officer Anna Vasenko told the details of the chase.
“Yes, there was a chase all over the city. They found him at night, he himself came to the patrol police department in Kremenchug. This is a man born in 1982, local. Three orders for violating traffic rules were immediately drawn up against him, and two reports of administrative offenses were also drawn up for the fact that he committed the chase and what took place during the chase,” says the press officer.
Vasenko explained that the offender himself appeared at the patrol police station.
“They didn’t catch up with him, he went outside the city of Kremenchug, there was a passenger with him who was detained, he dropped him off in the Kremenchug district. Our investigators talked to him, and soon the offender himself came to the patrol police,” she added.
The police press officer also spoke about the well-being of the girl who was hit by the patrol car.
“A local girl, she was moving along the sidewalk when a patrol car jumped out. The girl herself did not receive any injuries. She told the doctors that she was just very scared. She refused to write a statement,” Vasenko said.
The publication “Kremenchug Today” writes that the Hummer was driven by the son of the owner of the restaurant “Armenia”, Sargsyan.
