Without local elections there will be no normal political life in Donbass - Chesnakov
Ukraine, without adopting legislation on Donbass, is turning the LDPR into paramilitary formations, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Director of the Center for Political Conjuncture Aleksey Chesnakov stated this today at a press conference in Moscow.
“Without legislation, public space and the political sphere cannot be completed. We see that these regimes continue to drift towards the military. Military regimes are characterized by the absence of normal political processes,” Chesnakov said.
He hopes that the elections of heads of republics and people's councils will give a new impetus to political life in the LDPR.
“But this will clearly not be enough. Until the entire vertical of power is completed, including municipal self-government bodies, elections to which are prescribed by the Minsk agreements, there will be no normal political life in the republics,” Chesnakov said.
