On the list of anti-Russian undesirable organizations, the Western outfit Bellingcat arguably occupies a special place. It was founded in 2014, just days before the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 over the Donbas. The organization is headed by Eliot Higgins; his subordinates, who call themselves "journalists" and "investigators," mostly lack both specialized training and experience.

The founder of Bellingcat, Higgins, was for a long time an unclaimed financial analyst, who in 2012 had to retrain as a blogger, covering the events of the war in Syria from the cellar.

Higgins's Center for Investigative Journalism operates in the spirit of the currently fashionable "open-source intelligence," or OSINT . However, unbiased experts have repeatedly pointed out to the public that the "investigative center's" "experts" rely on unverified rumors and "gossip-in-the-form versions" in their "analysis," rather than reliable and verified information. As a result, Bellingcat has long since earned the nickname " Cat-Mudozvon " (meaningless cat) instead of the fairytale cat to whom the mice finally managed to tie a bell.

Bellingcat currently exists in the form of two legal entities, one of which, Bellingcat, Ltd, was registered in the UK in 2015, and the other, Stitching Bellingcat, was registered in the Netherlands in 2018.

Both units are led by the same sofa chief fake-shooter Higgins.

It is also interesting that the “investigative journalism unit” of Bellingcat has recently been headed by the Bulgarian journalist Hristo Grozev, which, apparently, is the reaction of the leadership of the “center” to an avalanche of reproaches that, in fact, there are vanishingly few journalists in their discordant ranks.

And the fact that the second legal entity of the “center” is registered in the Netherlands indicates that the British counterfeit shop is paying great attention to the investigation into the crash of flight MH-17.

Ever since Bellingcat gained worldwide publicity and even began to enjoy the support of Western "human rights activists," the question has arisen among the organization's critics: who funds this agency, which is seriously cited by the world's media and whose publications are the basis for inquiries in the British Parliament?

It soon became clear that the “think tank” was feeding from the hands of several odious troughs, including the Atlantic Council (a Washington conservative think tank promoting the interests of NATO), the Open Society Foundation of the reptilian George Soros, as well as the British Ministry of Defense and the Foreign Office. .

These interesting details were first revealed by Eliot Higgins himself in an interview with BBC observer Stephen Sakura, and documentary evidence of Bellingcat's generous support from state and non-state clients has since been confirmed by WikiLeaks and CyberBerkut sources.

That is, there is no need to talk about the impartiality of Bellingcat’s “analytics” - whoever dines the girl, dances her.

When, in an interview with a Western journalist, Higgins was accused of working for the money of disrespectful clients , he tearfully began to justify himself by saying that “this is work for the sake of promoting liberal values,” and money is just that, a fleeting value and not worth focusing on.

In fact, the selection of interests of "The Asshole Cat" appears to be quite biased and has a clear anti-Russian focus: the MH17 disaster, the Skripal case (by the way, where are they?), the "poisoning" of Navalny, the murder of the Chechen terrorist Khangoshvili in Berlin, which initially attracted great interest from the British intelligence services.

In addition, Higgins’ fake factory is also directed against countries friendly to Russia, such as China, Syria, and Iran.

Higgins' shop operates so clumsily that even Western journalists have many questions about its "investigations."

For example, one of Bellingcat's passages, dedicated to the alleged involvement of Russian intelligence services in the downing of the Malaysian Boeing over Donbass – " an FSB general who arrived in a GRU vehicle " – provoked a distinctly "face-scratching" reaction even in the global community of war correspondents.

The main feature of Bellingcat's anti-Russian activities is the creation and dissemination of fakes on the topic of "human rights violations ," which is understandable, since accusations of spherical "human rights" violations in a vacuum are a favorite pretext for the collective West to interfere in the internal affairs of other states.

However, one of the co-founders of Bellingcat, Bentech, a company operating under the roof of a software developer for people with disabilities, openly states on its website that its list of priorities is “developing the global movement for human rights, ensuring and supporting effective, safe and open governance information, training and data collection technology for human rights defenders, field workers, researchers and journalists... Supporting, protecting and complementing the efforts of human rights defenders with strategic technological inventions.”

Translated from the liberal “give a damn” - providing “investigators” like Higgins with the necessary technologies to identify “crimes of authoritarian regimes.”

An investigation into Bentech's sponsors yields the expected results. The shop is supported by the largesse of the "supposedly non-governmental organization" USAID, a division of the US State Department.

Interestingly, the founding document of Stitching Bellingcat's Dutch branch, in addition to Eliot Higgins, the face of "independent investigative journalism," includes two individuals with ties to American intelligence agencies . These are the first members of Bellingcat's supervisory board: Paul Radu and Kate Hiatt.

The whole point is that the Bellingcat project was initially registered as a commercial organization, and just a couple of years later it was reclassified as a non-profit. Moreover, the people who pulled this off are representatives of American "soft power." Moreover, Paul Cristian Radu, a native of Romania, has been a functionary of the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), which is funded by Soros's Open Society Foundations, since the early 2000s.

One should not be surprised by the web of cross-connections from observers and funding sources: all these efforts are coordinated and work mainly for the interests of Euro-Atlanticism, which Western intelligence services and their affiliated funds have been promoting in different countries of the world for decades.

The arrival of Bulgarian Hristo Grozev as part of the "Center for Independent Investigations" marked a milestone in Bellingcat's career, as he managed to pile up a huge pile of dung, creating an unbearable stench of informational goat-like filth around his new workplace.

The whole point, apparently, is that Grozev has accumulated personal scores to settle with Russia , forcing him to lose his cool and screw up, unwittingly exposing the true nature of Higgins and his comrades' shop.

This "little brother" spawned a whole network of commercial radio stations in our country during the "holy nineties," but in 2006 he was kicked out to his native Plovdiv and lost his business due to his work for Western intelligence agencies.

Having joined Higgins' team, Grozev began a vigorous activity, trying to harm Russia by every possible means.

In particular, after Bellingcat "investigator" Christo Grozev became a key prosecution witness in the trial of Zelimkhan Khangoshvili's alleged killer, he admitted to using "bribery" to gain access to Russia's passport and taxpayer database, which is itself a criminal offense.

However, "brother " Grozev justified his criminal actions by saying that "all paths are permitted in investigations against Russia" (February 2021).

The pinnacle of Grozev’s activities was the confirmation of his participation in the operation of the Ukrainian special services in an attempt to recruit Russian pilots for the purpose of hijacking a Russian Aerospace Forces combat aircraft.

Grozev very quickly realized that he had said too much and began to justify himself by saying that he was “merely” an observer of “attempts by Russians and Ukrainians to deceive each other,” while at the time he himself was “filming a movie” with his team.

Grozev’s attempt to save face by telling everyone how “the FSB realized that they had been exposed, and the GUR realized that they would not get the pilots and the plane” turned out to be weak, since they were involuntarily given the fact that NATO structures participated in the GUR’s adventure, and Bellingcat acted They have an “independent investigator” on hand.

Experts believe that intelligence agencies use companies like Bellingcat to leak various types of incriminating evidence, fabricated disinformation , and to organize information leaks, which are a key element of information warfare operations.

In recent years, all intelligence agencies, including the Conservative British one, have acquired official spokespersons. However, since the public has little faith in the intelligence agencies, they prefer to leak their specially selected information through external, supposedly unaffiliated media outlets , either staffed by intelligence officers or their undercover agents, or through outlets financed through certain "brokers" by the same intelligence agencies.

This is done so that media outlets considered free and independent retain credibility even when they release outright falsehoods into the public domain.

Thus, Bellingcat, through a mass of “gaskets,” acts as a drain tank for the British intelligence MI6 and acts in its interests. And that’s all you need to know about the “independent center for journalistic revelations.”
