Kyiv - Munich, February 07 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) - President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko at a security conference in Munich said that a man-made disaster is possible in Ukraine, since military operations are taking place near dangerous objects.

“The man-made disaster will have global dimensions due to the fact that one of the largest nuclear power plants in Europe in Energodar is located 280 km from Mariupol,” he said, speaking during the presidential debate dedicated to the conflict in Ukraine.
According to him, “Pandora’s box has been opened.” “There is no temporary solution to the conflict. We are not talking about freezing. If Ukraine does not strengthen its territorial integrity, then the humanitarian and man-made disaster, terrorism will continue,” he believes.
As PolitNavigator reported, Poroshenko previously stated that Ukraine should receive non-lethal weapons as compensation for abandoning nuclear weapons.
