Babanin was fired illegally, students are transferred to other universities, - dean of KSMU
Simferopol, February 04 (PolitNavigator, Semyon Dmitriev) – Employees of the KSMU, which is part of the KFU, accuse the Crimean authorities of arbitrariness. In addition, an outflow of students from the university has already begun - both foreigners and Crimeans.

The dean of the 1st Faculty of Medicine, Tatyana Fominykh, told PolitNavigator about this.
“The outflow of students has already begun. Local students are transferred to other universities in Crimea, but with foreign students everything is difficult, a legal conflict has turned out. In particular, we cannot transfer them to Ukraine, and other educational institutions in Russia cannot do this for a number of objective reasons. Of course, Sergei Valerievich (Aksenov - “PolitNavigator”) promised to solve this problem, but it is extremely difficult to transfer students in the middle of the semester,” the dean noted.
The future of the teaching staff of KSMU is uncertain:
“And the dismissal of Babanin is generally illegal, how could the Crimean authorities dismiss the rector of the university when the owner of KSMU should have done this? Now it is not defined and it is not clear who makes the decisions. Just as it is not clear whether our jobs will remain,” said Tatyana Fominykh.
