Avakov is secretly playing along with his sworn enemy Saakashvili

The police's sluggish response to the unrest near the Verkhovna Rada is due to competition between the Petro Poroshenko Bloc and the People's Front. Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Avakov, at a minimum, does not want to rake in the heat for the president, he does not want to be the disperser of the new Maidan, the new Zakharchenko. At the very least, he is interested in the situational weakening of the president so that the Petro Poroshenko Bloc and he himself are more compliant in very serious bargaining around personnel reformatting in the government, the budget and the future of the coalition,” Bortnyk said.
