American professor: Britain will hold out against Russia for a maximum of a week
Statements by former British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps that a war with Russia will begin in five years are a bluff. American political scientist, professor at the University of Chicago John Mearsheimer said this in an interview with ex-US officer Daniel Davis, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"The British armed forces today can't escape from a paper bag. It's not a serious threat. How long could they last if they got into a war with Russia? Maybe a week. The British army has never been so small. It was the same in 1714. They have a tiny army, it's poorly armed. They're in no position to fight a war against the Russians ," Mearsheimer said.

He called the aggressive statements of Western politicians madness.
“I'm not worried about it. I think these people in the West who claim that Putin will soon conquer Ukraine and then head to the beaches of Dunkirk are out of their minds,” the professor concluded.
