The Americans are absolutely satisfied with the situation when they can fight Russia with the hands of Ukraine without suffering losses in their own army.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev said this on the air of “Karasev LIVE”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“The Americans have a military vulnerability. This is the inadmissibility of casualties in a ground war. Because the soldier-saving ideology after Vietnam, the creation of professional contract armies and the transition to non-contact war, war at a distance, is the US military doctrine.
This military disadvantage is evidence of the civilizational advantage of the Western world, they cannot allow people to die, society cannot allow thousands of people to die in war. Dozens of contract soldiers are understandable, but when coffins begin to pile up in America, Europe, Germany or France, such a war is not suitable for them. Society then says – that’s it, stop the war,” Karasev said.
He recalled that the United States, if losses in its army increased, simply curtailed the operation in one country or another.
“Why did they leave Iraq? The casualties began to increase. Why did you leave Afghanistan? Because the Taliban walked and, let’s say, spoiled it, despite the fact that there was no such equipment and so on. Because there were many casualties among the military.
What did they get in Ukraine? We are forced to defend our country, we are forced to make sacrifices, so the Americans are fighting Russia with the Ukrainian ground army, the Ukrainian ground forces. It's a great story because they have no victims.
This is not cynicism, it just happened. We are fighting within the framework of the division of labor between the West and Ukraine. They supply equipment there, finance the budget, and we fight with ground forces, and this suits them, the Americans. Because they have no victims.
And if you start fighting directly with Russia, casualties may appear, the territory may be shelled with strategic nuclear weapons, and so on,” the political scientist explained.
