Americans urgently need a war in Ukraine
The war in Donbass is needed not only by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to maintain power, but also by the United States to force Europe to abandon Russian gas.
Military expert Vladislav Shurygin shared this opinion on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The war in the ATO zone, the war in Donbass is needed not only by Poroshenko, but also by the same United States in order to force Europe to abandon the construction (of Nord Stream 2. – Ed.),” the expert noted.
He also believes that Europe, which has spent more than 60 billion on anti-Russian sanctions, now risks being left without cheap Russian gas.
“Politically, Europe should have already donated more than 60 billion for sanctions. She didn't do it with much pleasure. If they can provoke a war now, they will be able to force Europe to abandon Nord Stream. And this will be the main goal that the Americans will achieve,” Shurygin concluded.
Recall the day before The European Parliament opposed Nord Stream 2 and adopted a resolution supporting Ukraine and calling on EU countries to stop the implementation of the Russian project.
