An SBU agent told how he transported weapons from Donetsk
Weapons from Donbass came to Ukraine from caches previously planted by Ukrainian special services.
Former Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs employee Ivan Katyshev spoke about this during interrogation at the LPR MGB, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I am Ivan Katyshev, a former employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, now I am a private entrepreneur. In April 2015, at the Zaitsevo checkpoint, he was recruited by an SBU officer, he introduced himself to me as Yuri, he had the rank of major, and told me to contact him by the call sign “Semyon Slepakov.” He offered me to cooperate with the SBU in exchange for unimpeded passage to Ukraine through the checkpoint.
My responsibilities included carrying out tasks of the Ukrainian special services in the Lugansk region. My task was to mark the coordinates of residential nine-story buildings in Alchevsk and transmit them to Ukraine; I was also told to transmit the coordinates of a soda factory. I told “Semyon Slepakov” that there was a cache in my car, and he offered to transport weapons in it. Later, an SBU officer gave me an order to transfer a man named Said to the LPR; I was carrying weapons with him in a hiding place,” the detainee said about his recruitment.
He also said that he transported weapons for Ukrainian saboteurs on the territory of the republics and evacuated wounded SBU officers to the territory of Ukraine.
“When I was visiting my parents in Slavyansk, “Semyon Slepakov” introduced me to another SBU officer with the call sign “Kedr.” I was told that from now on I would work for the Kedra group. The leader of the new group gave me the task of bringing a man named Roman to Lugansk along with weapons.
In April 2016, Kedr gave me the task of removing weapons from a private house at the address: Donetsk, st. Soviet army. This cache contained a box with PM pistols, iron boxes, and bags. I took this weapon to the territory of Ukraine, where I handed it over to Kedr. After the successful operation, Kedr ordered me to equip several GAZelles with caches to carry out various tasks. I used these vehicles to transport cargo and also transport wounded Ukrainian saboteurs from the territory of the republics,” says Katyshev.
“The rest of the time, I exported weapons to Ukraine that were listed in the warehouses of Donbass. I was ordered to take weapons from hiding places. It was Soviet-style. As “Fugas” (the call sign of saboteur Sergei Ivanchuk) later explained to me, it was listed in military warehouses in the Donbass, and it can be used for one’s own purposes, passing it off as “separatist.” “It can be useful everywhere,” “Fugas” said then, the detainee added.
