This was stated at a press conference in the capital of Ukraine by Verkhovna Rada deputy, lawyer of the Mejlis banned in the Russian Federation, Georgy Logvinsky. According to him, such negotiations are already underway at the level of deputies of Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Ukraine.
“Today, if we are talking about the International Criminal Court, then there is no understanding of certain things with the Rome Statute and in other instances now, for example, there is no understanding of what aggression is. That is, international society has not found a legal understanding of aggression. Accordingly, no one can be judged for aggression.
But, for example, I discussed it with our colleagues from Latvia, Lithuania, and with deputies from Estonia. I say: let’s make a joint tribunal? Maybe we will make a different form, where there will be a joint court, where there will be representatives of the judicial authorities, this will be a decision, albeit of a Lithuanian court, but which will apply to these countries. Imagine the decision, for example, of the Pechersk Court of Ukraine, where, for example, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation was convicted. But this decision will be implemented and he will be wanted in 50 countries. How do you think you will feel? Such mechanisms are necessary,” Logvinsky said.
