Admiral Komoyedov: The British turned out to be sea rats. This is already serious
The border guards and the Black Sea Fleet acted absolutely correctly by opening fire to stop a British destroyer from violating the Russian border.
The ex-commander of the Black Sea Fleet, Admiral Vladimir Komoyedov, told PolitNavigator about this.

“This is an extraordinary action on the part of the British. They were thought to be sea lions, but turned out to be sea rats. This is not what decent sailors do.
Our actions need to be divided into the actions of the border guards, who acted absolutely correctly, with warning fire, but also Su-24 military aircraft used bombs on course. This is already serious.
Now our Foreign Ministry needs to lodge a protest, even if this is the 1005th “Chinese” warning, but we definitely need to call the British Ambassador - let him account for the actions of his charges, and so on.
Well, we showed that “we didn’t invite you, but you stuck in,” and also spoiled us like some kind of lousy beast, I can’t find another word. Our actions are completely justified and normal, we told them: “Guys, come and get it.” Russia must be respected with the territorial waters that it has,” Komoyedov said.
