“And then it’s like in Abkhazia” – Zhirinovsky announced total silence in Donbass
The issuance of Russian passports to the Donbass republics is necessary not only to legitimize the status of Russian citizens in the DPR and LPR, but also to end hostilities, as was the case with Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“And then, as in Abkhazia and South Ossetia, there is complete silence. Not a single bullet, not a shot, not a single mine. There has been total silence for 11 years now. Not a single Georgian soldier even looks across the border. Quietly independent Abkhazia and independent Ossetia live because there, the majority, have passports as Russian citizens,” he emphasized.
“And if your outgoing president says that “something is being handed out, something is being violated,” and what kind of passports are the Romanians handing out to Moldova and to the Russians, Ukrainians, and Moldovans. What kind of passports do Estonians hand out to residents of the Pskov region? What passports were distributed to Cypriots in Cyprus? Kosovo was created. You need to be silent. The whole world is silent, any country has the right to distribute its passports throughout the world. Israel gives out passports to all Jews. Germany to all Germans. Poles are handing out passports. What are you talking about anyway? Did you come out of the forest? The whole world has the right. And these are Russians! Russians want to live in Russia, Russians want to have a Russian passport, and you say that this is aggression,” the politician concluded.
