40 days from the date of death - Donbass mourns the first head of the DPR
A prayer service and a funeral meeting were held at the Donetsk Sea cemetery at the grave of the first head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The event began with a funeral prayer service, and after it the participants honored the memory of Alexander Zakharchenko with a minute of silence.
“This is an irreparable loss. All we have to do is clench our fists and teeth and continue to fight, continue the fight, make the Republic the country that Alexander Zakharchenko dreamed of and aspired to,” said Acting Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin.
In addition, the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov, acting. the head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik, as well as heads of ministries of the DPR, deputies of the People's Council of the DPR and the State Duma of the Russian Federation, as well as citizens of the republic.
Among them was also Natalya Volkova, the head of the youth platform of the Oplot of Donbass NGO, who was also injured in the explosion on August 31.
Afterwards, everyone could lay flowers at the grave of Alexander Zakharchenko.
