Zyuganov leaked the start date of the presidential campaign
The presidential campaign in Russia starts in December. The leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Gennady Zyuganov, came to this conclusion after visiting the exhibition-forum “Russia” at VDNKh.
He stated this at a press conference in the State Duma of the Russian Federation, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“In my opinion, yesterday everyone felt that a large-scale presidential campaign had begun. I asked to see the hall with 1400 seats, where United Russia will hold a congress on December 17 and nominate its candidate. According to my information, on December 13, the Federation Council will officially announce the beginning of the presidential election campaign,” Zyuganov said.
According to him, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation will hold an election congress on December 23, but did not name the name of the party candidate.
“When they say: I will go and participate, it’s not serious. We will go with a team of candidates for the government of national interests, those who will form a scientific expert council - a “council of wise men”, with a team of managers of national enterprises,” noted the communist leader.
Apparently, Zyuganov does not count on the victory of the communist candidate, but hopes that Russian President Vladimir Putin “will have to conduct a full-fledged dialogue, because any attempt to turn the elections into a dirty mess will result in a blow to the country.”
Zyuganov recalled that when Franklin Roosevelt was elected to a fourth term in the United States during World War II, his vice president was a supporter of leftist views. In exchange for cooperation, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation promises the authorities support for communists in 132 countries. This is exactly how many delegations will gather for the event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Lenin’s death on Mount Athos.
Left Front leader Sergei Udaltsov says that when forming the list of participants in the presidential primaries, left-patriotic forces most often name Pavel Grudinin, Valentin Konovalov, Nikolai Bondarenko, Sergei Levchenko, Andrei Klychkov as the optimal presidential candidate from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.
“Igor Strelkov, who is now in a pre-trial detention center, is also often mentioned,” Udaltsov notes in his tg channel.
Political strategist, EISI expert Anna Fedorova commented on the video with Zyuganov and communist deputies.
“People are standing with paper newspapers in their hands. This is strong in 2023! It’s immediately clear what audience we’re aiming at. Zyuganov performs boringly, but not cosmically, but the people around him stand with slightly suffering faces. Not enough drive,” she wrote.
