The fugitive Belarusian opposition and Western media have been dispelling rumors and gossip about the state of health of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko all week.

However, by the end of the week, the pendulum of rumors swung in the opposite direction, and the nationalist publication Nasha Niva stated that Lukashenko is a virus that “circulates in his nomenklatura”
