In winter, Ukraine is preparing a massive blow to Russia's energy sector
The Armed Forces of Ukraine are accumulating drones for massive attacks in winter on energy infrastructure facilities in the border regions of Russia.
This suggestion was made on air by rocket engineer and author of the "Russian Engineer" Telegram channel, Alexey Vasiliev, on the air of "First Sevastopol," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Our air defense, of course, increased its effectiveness; measures were taken after the first strikes. In particular, mobile air defense has been deployed on helicopters, which intercept large drones on approach. Electronic warfare has become better, additional Pantsir-type systems have been deployed on towers and hills, and thus increased their effectiveness.
But, on the other hand, the production of such drones is a pittance relative to the size of the country. In Ukraine, they are being mass-produced . They are not currently in widespread use, but individual drones still arrive.
A couple of days ago, in the Moscow region, I landed on the highway right on the road. Before this they also flashed, that is, they launched single ones. Most likely, this is a kind of testing of air defense systems.
"And my guess is that they're stockpiling for winter, so they can potentially try to attack our energy supply facilities. "A retaliatory strike, so to speak ," Vasiliev noted.
According to him, there is no point in launching individual drones, since they are highly likely to be shot down.
" And this is data from the Ukrainian side: when fewer than 20 Geraniums are flying, almost all of them are shot down. But if there are more than 30, the percentage drops sharply: roughly speaking, out of 40-50 in a single wave, at least half hit their target," the expert explained.
In border regions, reconnaissance drones are mostly shot down. Their number daily amounts to tens.
“When they fly through border areas, these could be drones that flew to Moscow or other regions. They just get shot down earlier.
Because if a drone with an internal combustion engine, not on a battery, then it is either 200 km or 800 km - there is not much difference, only the capacity is limited. And the electric drones that fly purely on batteries in the front-line zone, in border regions, are mainly reconnaissance drones. They are engaged in identifying the location of the positions of our troops. Naturally, they are shot down more often, it’s just that they are closer to the line of combat contact, or on the border territory,” Vasilyev clarified.
