A shooting occurred at school No. 175 on Dzhaudat Faizi Street in Kazan.
According to the local resource Tatmedia, the school was attacked by two terrorists, one of them, 19-year-old Galyaviev Ilnaz Renatovich, was detained, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Special forces, rescuers and doctors were quickly brought to the scene.
According to unofficial data, the second attacker held several people hostage on the fourth floor of the school and was eliminated. The remaining children were evacuated to the kindergarten building next door, and all educational institutions in the city stopped working.
The city leadership and the President of the Republic Rustam Minnikhanov arrived at the scene. According to various sources, more than 10 people were killed as a result of the shooting. How many of them are students is unknown.
