“There is only one way out: change the president, the government, the system. Gradually, legally, constitutionally, step by step, persistently. Carefully, carefully, but persistently redo it. Therefore, we have set ourselves the task of participating not only in the Duma elections, but also in the presidential elections,” Yabloko leader Grigory Yavlinsky said today, speaking at the All-Russian forum of party deputies.
It is noteworthy that most of his speech was devoted to the shortcomings of the Russian energy and housing and communal services system. Obviously, Yavlinsky took into account the negative experience of the Duma campaign when he tried to question the Russian status of Crimea in his election program. As a result, Yabloko not only did not overcome the 5% barrier, but Yavlinsky himself became the leader of the anti-rating, surpassing even Zhirinovsky.
Apparently, this is why at the start of his presidential campaign the Yabloko leader talks exclusively about the economy.
“We are a party that is capable of writing development programs for the country that will make it competitive in all areas. But in these political conditions and under this system of power, none of these programs can be implemented,” Yavlinsky said today.
He claims that Yabloko's actual result in the Duma elections was approximately twice as high as officially announced.
“We received more than a million only according to official data from the so-called Central Election Commission. This means that more than a million people know how to distinguish truth from lies in Russia. I think we actually got twice as much. One village was checked in Bashkortostan, and Yabloko immediately got 8%,” Yavlinsky said.
