Zhivov assessed the chances of success of the new "counteroffensive" of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, promised by Syrsky
The Ukrainian command may attempt to organize another "counteroffensive," concentrating its attack on Donbass or the "old" regions, but there is no chance that it will be successful.
Military volunteer Alexei Zhivov announced this on air at Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

" They could probably try to amass some individual forces of up to several tens of thousands. And again, in one sector of the front, be it the northern part of the front, a Russian region, or perhaps Donbas, attempting a counteroffensive is limited.
This is probably the maximum they're currently prepared and capable of. Considering the fact that the Ukrainian rear is being subjected to a massive barrage of fire, there's no electricity, no heat, and the factories that produce drones, ammunition, and repair equipment are constantly being destroyed and constantly under attack.
“That is, sooner or later this should have a maximum chilling effect not only on the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces , but also on the Ukrainian economy and statehood as a whole,” Zhivov noted.
Earlier, Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky announced offensive operations in an interview with Ukrainian propagandists:
"We will conduct a strategic defensive operation, but we understand that victory cannot be achieved through defense. Therefore, we will conduct offensive operations, fighting to maintain the operational initiative. Because this forces the enemy to commit and withdraw significant manpower, weapons, and ammunition to deter our active operations."
