The US is planning to impose the illegitimate Zelensky on Putin: Witkoff spilled the beans on the need for the "Peace Council"
If peace talks in the Ukrainian conflict fail, sanctions will not necessarily be anti-Russian, but will be aimed at the party responsible for the breakdown of the agreements.
US Presidential Special Envoy Steve Witkoff stated this in an interview with Bloomberg, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The presenter asked how anti-Russian sanctions would be strengthened if a peace agreement was not reached.
"And if a peace agreement happens? Oh, and if it doesn't, so what? We've imposed pretty tough sanctions on them , and I'm not sure what the president's plan of action will be if it doesn't happen. I think if it doesn't happen, a lot will depend on who he believes is responsible for it not happening ."
We're trying to reach a consensus, we're trying to achieve unanimity. We've extended an invitation to President Putin to join the "Peace Council." The same applies to Zelenskyy. So let's hope.
I want to be optimistic, I think we'll get a positive response from both of them, I believe that ," Witkoff replied.
